What level of compression is best for your body?
How do I choose the compression level for my compression socks?
-Is it better to start out stronger? -What is the unit of pressure?
Today we would like to answer this question and help you choose the right compression level for your body.
The unit of compression is mmHg (millimeter Hg).
The unit of compression is mmHg (millimeter Hg or millimercury) and is mainly used in measuring blood pressure.
Hg is the symbol for mercury. For example, a blood pressure of 160mmHg means that the blood vessels are being pushed by a force that pushes the mercury up by 160mm. This unit is also used in compression socks and running socks, and we would like to explain it in this article as an index of compression levels.
Compression Level
There are several grades of compression, as follows:
8 to 15 mmHg (mild compression) 15 to 20 mmHg (moderate compression) 20 to 30 mmHg (strong compression) |
Our CEP 20-30 mmHg compression socks come in two varieties: one for endurance sports like running, hiking, and skiing, and one for recovery socks to wear after a workout or while traveling.
Compression socks for exercise are designed to provide 100% compression at the ankle and 80% at the calf, while recovery socks have a progressively lesser compression design, from 100% at the ankle to 60% at the calf.

How to keep your legs healthy?
To keep your legs healthy and prevent strain, especially if you're standing for long periods of time, we recommend trying compression socks.
It's best to measure your compression sock size in the morning, rather than after a day of standing.
The reason is that at night, after various activities, the legs tend to swell and the circumference of the calves tends to increase. Therefore, people tend to choose a size larger than usual. Socks that are too large may not provide enough compression and may not be effective.
High socks/calf sleeves → calf
Recovery → Ankle
We carry CEP compression clothing for both men and women, so you're sure to find the perfect pair for you.
